July was kicked off with another race at the 1000m in Mytischi! Record heat held the whole week and this day was no different-34C mid afternoon! It was still 31 at the 8:30 start.I was roasted after the train ride out too. I was put into the youngster heat 20-39 so I'd have company to chase down a better time. HA-a better time in this weather? Well, I ended up only a couple seconds off of last year's time despite heavy dead legs from being hotass hell all week. I started out in back and picked off almost all of the youngsters in that heat save for 3. I ended up winning my division again and with my best tim so far this season. Thank you ladies for rabbiting me!
Once again, tow days later I ran my best 5k at the Park RUn for the past couple years and beat my time from Natioanls last year. This was my last hard workout before Nationals this year! Fingers and toes crossed hay is in the barn! 18C at the start after hell hot for 9 days felt damn good! Oh, and I was the first lady. Thank you to the guy who was running the perfect pace just ahead of me to latch onto!
